I find it so sad that I have been living in the same place for over two years and my room may or may not have a picture on the wall and a few decorative pillows on the bed. Pathetic. It’s time to give my room some love and add a little something something. You know what I mean, right?
I want to light a candle, read a good book and wind down for the night in a perfectly designed/zen bedroom. Is that so much to ask?!? At the moment I come home and stress over what I should do to change my room up.
May this be the worst thing I stress over in life.
I think I’ve waited this long because I have a particular look I’m going for and I can’t seem to find any quality pieces to buy. I gravitate towards anything earthy, vintage and elegant that can last me a really long time.
I’m not kidding when I say that you can get lost in this store. Every step you take there is something to look at that will make you say, “Yeah, I could use that in my house. Not sure for what yet, but I really love it.” We’ve all been there. Love that I love everything, but my wallet doesn’t… (Kidding).
This store is very affordable, so I wasn’t worried about breaking the bank by buying stylish pieces that will last me a lifetime.
Everything in Rod Works is hand-made and really unique. It’s so cool to buy something that no one else will have in their home. Not only are these products unique and different, but they are quality pieces you know you’ll have forever. I love that.
Fun Fact: This store started with iron decor and curtain rods, but friends and neighbors would put in so many requests for home decor that could not be found in the big chain stores that the owners decided to start a small business from home.
For all of my Las Vegas locals, you can check out Rod Works on Cheyenne right off the 215. If you’re in Henderson, head over to the Rod Works on Eastern Ave. in the Desert Sands Plaza. Not from Vegas? They have locations in Utah, Arizona and California…so definitely check them out when you get a chance. Their website also has awesome decorating tips that I have been checking out all weekend. I need all the help I can get with my new room. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
