Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween my friends

Who else is looking forward to tonight and seeing everyone’s costumes? I know I am. People go all out…and I mean ALLL OUUT! Some costumes look like they have been in the works for months.

Before I go crazy eating loads of candy tonight, I thought it would be a good idea to get outside and take a walk in nature. I thought about Red Rock, but it was a little bit of a drive for me and I wanted to do something simple.

I had to get out and move before all of the candy consumption

Lone Mountain was the perfect place. If you have never heard of Lone Mountain is it literally a lonely mountain on Alexander near the 215 Beltway. They have recently added a trail around the mountain for people that don’t necessarily want to hike to the top. The trail still offers great views of the city and will give you a great workout. Some days I just can’t be bothered breaking a sweat at the gym, so this was a great alternative. Anyone else have those days? I brought my fluffy pal along with me to explore the area and he loved it. I felt very safe walking this trail, which I know might be a concern for some. I would still suggest to walk with someone and not alone, though. Get your family together or even a group of friends and go explore. Get your body moving and have fun doing so. If you’re feeling adventurous, hike to the top of the mountain because the view of the city is even better up there.

I definitely recommend giving Lone Mountain on Alexander a go for a small hike.

Anyways… be safe, be smart, and have fun tonight. Maybe I’ll do a recap of my night/costume tomorrow if I am not in a candy coma.
